As previous reviewers have stated, this is fantastic style with no substance. I'm assuming you're in high school because of that fact. If this is the case, then good job; just learn how to create art instead of things that just look cool.

Amazing short! Submit this shit to festivals! Now!

Great animation, great voice acting, and good visual gags. The writing needs a few more drafts, but other than that, good work.

Great writing, gread delivery, great visual gags! Keep it up!

SnowBacon responds:

Thank you and I will! XD

Cool style and nice motion graphic! Can't wait to see it fully animated!

Skatoonist responds:

Thanks!! for the feedback! :D

Very cute! Reminds me of the campyness of when I first discovered Newgrounds. I only have a couple suggestions to make it better:
-Better voice acting
-More frames of animation

Other than that, the short was very charming! You have potential to be a solid series. Keep at it!

mattyburrito responds:

Thanks for the comment and critique!

Will keep working on the minimalist style and acting!

Very good series and a shame to see it end. I'm looking forward to your next project. Hopefully more narrated comics. My friends and I have decided that these are where you're strongest.

Anyway, keep up the good work!

You're trying way to hard on this one. Try toning back the blue and sticking with organic visual gags instead of forced ones.

nags responds:

what? of course im going to try, i didnt feel like anything was forced? what was forced here? and also too*

Cute for what it is. I assume you're young, so I'll go easy on you. Start by keeping a proper aspect ratio throughout the piece. There is no reason why I should see white bars. Your animation is competent, but nothing special, especially since the sprites aren't made by you. Lastly the story... um... you'll improve with time.

Jerry589 responds:

Thank you for your encouragement. I am trying to improve it and working hard. :) I have edited it to the real size. :)

There is no context and the movie feels more like an animation exercise.

That being said, the animation is superb. The anticipation and follow through are very well done and every action carries a lot of weight... until the fighter stands up and unleashes a combo of his own. That was the biggest problem form me. The animation conveyed pain, but there were no injuries. No cuts; no scratches; no broken bones; no burns; nothing. If you want a fight of this caliber to last this long, then have blocking and dodging. The lack of consequence to getting the shit kicked out of the character makes the entire fight inane and boring.

For your next fight, add weight to the fight, not just follow through to the animation.
