Awesome animation! Even though I didn't like the writing that much, the visual gags were more than enough to be funny.

Thanks, yea I really need to work on my writing
Lovin this! The texture lines make it and the style is fantastic! Keep it up!
Your animation is well done, but has no power behind the motions. Add some anticipation and follow-through.
I try to use anticipation, but it never seems to come out right.
Is this satire for people who only play games for achievements? Is this a social commentary on how all you have to do to make front page is to make references without context? Is this a statement against what we call a "game" by producing a piece of minimal interactivity? If so, then this is a fun piece of art and "Cult Classic" is a clever title.
However, if you're serious, then I cannot even bring myself to criticize it. All that I have to say is that once you get past the gimmick of the collection of references, then it is forgettable and empty.
I'm a sucker for Spike :3
To make it better, try to put him in the lower right third and add a shadow to his feet. Maybe even mess with the colors of the individual shapes of the yellow background to match the feel of the show/character.
Thank you for the advice! I usually tend to get sloppy on the BG as soon as I finish the character
Very nice ink work and two tone shading! One of the checker patterns needs better line weight, but overall well done! ^-^
If this is part of a series, I don't get it. If this is an individual comic/joke, it's not a good one. For starters, please change the characters' hair colors to make them more distinct. Then you can fix your writing to correct the grammar and have a more solid punchline to your set-up.
Thank you for your response. Yes this is an ongoing series that was launched 6 months ago on the Tumblr page. I purposely assorted the comics this way to tell the stories of the characters more and their personalities than the jokes which I guess that's one flaw I realized now.
Yes the joke makes no sense but part of the universe of it is that either shit happens to them or people have spontaneous ideas to get out of certain situations but then again I should come up with better jokes that makes sense (although I enjoy making up quirky jokes for the sake of it whether readers will get it or not).
The biggest flaw in my work is that the plan of making smaller stories and short mini strips to bridge in the bigger stories didn't quite mesh together in the end. :/ (I been working this hard waiting for a critique to come around so thank you). I guess I'll consider doing the series of short stories rather than doing small strips so it makes sense to everyone that its a series of stories with these characters.
As for the blue hair (lol), these were earlier comics that I made last year for the Tumblr page and midway through production I made the decision of giving them blue hair because I don't like the blackiness of black hair (I find it rather dull so I changed it). I'm rereleasing the older comics here so I can try to get more people aware about the webcomic and, again, getting feedback.
If you follow the Tumblr version of it (http://thekidwiththeredcap.tumblr.com/) I have improved quite a lot since the first comics I made back in September 2014 and my goal is to try to keep improving on the series for everyone and make better stories and character development.
So again thank you very much for the critique and I hope you enjoyed it so far.
